Project: Coleslaw
I never liked cooking. Maybe it's because I was born to a family where the kitchen was definitely not my turf. It belonged to everyone else-my grandmother, my mother, my brother, my sisters-except me. My family are great connoisseurs in their own right. Because of that, fortunately or unfortunately, I knew about good food but never had the real chance to cook up something myself. I guess I was sheltered. Or plain lazy. Or gutless. Or all of the above. Besides, I couldn't stand standing next to the stove. It was much too hot for me. Then for no special reason, I dared to try doing something just recently. I whipped up some appetizers: coleslaw! I turned to Google for some popular recipes and picked my choice. I was happy that the ingredients were readily available in the supermarket and the procedures were rather simple. Plus, it didn't really require using the stove. Haha!
